About Us

Health Challenge Thailand (HCT) was originally an annual event organised with the support of the Office of Educational Affairs, the Royal Thai Embassy in London (OEA London) to strengthen research collaboration and provide a networking venue among Thai students and researchers in health-related fields. Over the past decade, HCT has continually developed to serve a growing community of health and care researchers in the UK and abroad, and to foster multidisciplinary discussions and collaboration. In the 10th edition of the event, we aim to preserve our heritage of rigorous academic discourses whilst expanding the scope and outreach to social sciences.

What is Our Goal?

In the 10th edition of Health Challenge Thailand, we would like to widen participation to those in social sciences as we acknowledge the natural interlink between healthcare and society. Especially when society is a crucial stakeholder in all clinical research, public and patient inputs are instrumental not only in the success but also the applicability & impact of research. Therefore, we aim to

  • Provide a platform to showcase scientific advancements in social sciences and health
  • Foster collaboration, networking, and sharing of knowledge among Thai researchers in the UK of all educational backgrounds
  • Keep abreast of novel developments in related fields with talks from our distinguished guests
  • Support career developments of Thai health and care researchers in the UK
